Going to Kindergarten

Madison now has a little brother AND a little sister! Late last night we received a notice via email that Madison’s request to be transferred from Central Middle School to Nesbit had been approved. We walked to Nesbit today and Madison got to meet some of her future class mates.

While there, some teachers approached me about Drew and if he was going to be in Kindergarten. I told them that this shy little guy was only 3 years old, but my daughter would be attending. They smiled and walked away. When Madison was done playing on the bar, I sent her their way. They were instant friends. They couldn’t believe how confident and friendly Madison was. They also said they thought she was 7+ years old based on how tall she was.

Madison went into the classroom and read a list of words on a piece of paper, played with the kids on the playground, sat politely when the principal was speaking, gave me a big hug afterwards, and enjoyed a popsicle. I love my little girl, and it’s so strange to see her getting big enough for school.
