Under the Sea!

Figuratively. I’m sure Madison has been to the ocean before, but for this occasion she’s in the performance of The Little Mermaid Jr. playing as Carlotta. Now before you interject with an insane question like “what’s the Little Mermaid?” let me just remind you that Google exists for solving most of life’s little mysteries.

Madison has been working on this play for months, and her audition was good, but she didn’t have enough vocal experience (yet) to really want to belt it on the songs. She still gives me a terrible glare each time I bellow “she’s in loooooooove!” Maybe rightfully so despite me nailing it.

The play was a massive success, with lots of fun music and choreography. Madison caught the bug, and I don’t mean she got sick, but rather she loved performing and is looking forward to future opportunities to showcase her skills. And maybe next time she’ll belt the songs in auditions!
