Driven

It was Tiffany’s idea to sign the kids up for piano lessons. However, based on the date of this entry, Madison hasn’t had her first lesson yet. That hasn’t stopped her.

Her piano books arrived in the mail yesterday, and Madison was quickly begging me to teach her what the different things meant so she could play away. I took a minute to show her how and where to place her hands, which prompted some tears as she said that proper technique “hurt her hands.”

Today she was relentless. She learned song after song after song. From after school until bedtime all she wanted to do was play the piano.

The last song we learned was the catchy part of Bury A Friend by Billie Eilish. I hope she (or Finn) doesn’t read this and think that the rest of the song isn’t catchy, they know which part I’m talking about! We watched a YouTube tutorial and then I was able to poke it out and Madison picked it up so quickly.

When Madison wants to learn something don’t get in her way!
