A Diver

Just a few weeks ago Madison wouldn’t let go of the edge of the pool without her life-jacket on. Last night, we went for a swim so that Madison could dive for the new sharks that Grandma Lavada got her.

She can put her head under the water to scout the location of the plastic sharks sitting on the bottom of the pool, and then with one big breath, she sticks her head down and dives to get them. On her first dive tonight she came back up with a shark in each hand!

She’s also improved her diving, so now she can stand on the edge and dive in, reach the bottom of the pool, retrieve a shark, and then surface. She swims confidently without a life-jacket, which only gives me moderate amounts of anxiety.
